A Witch's brew... or could it be apple cider?
It started earlier that day when Susan and I decided to head out to the country ...
... to purchase fresh pressed cider for the evening's festivities.
FAST forward..
..cider simmers on the stove waiting for an optional splash of whiskey ;)
It's chilly and it may start to rain..
Hearty chicken chili, toppings, corn bread, salads.. stick to your ribs food!
What's your FAVORITE chili recipe?
Do you like these?
Time for pumpkin carving! Do you use stencils or create your own design?
Oh!
What do we have here? ;)
We can't possibly resist a little photo booth action!
BOO!
..and the pumpkins turned out perfectly!
Layla posing for a quick photo before she has her doggy biscuit :)
Have a safe and festive Halloween!

Great stuff! Xox z
You had wonderful day! Your photos with Susan are gorgeous :) Layla looks so sweet in pumpkin's hat ;) I have never drunk cider, but I have to try it! Have a nice week with good Halloween fun :)

Leslie,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post. The candles look even scarier when there are drips. The spiced apple cider sounds delicious, a little splash of bourbon never hurts. :-)
I love the white chili recipe that I have from an old Bon Appetit magazine, your chili looked like it could be the same recipe. Mr. B. likes the beef chili better, I usually make one kind one week and another the next during this time of year. Your fireplace is so inviting.
Have a great weekend.
Karen
Hello Leslie,
ReplyDeleteYour photographs are always so expressive and capture all the fun perfectly.
Looks like a super fun get together and the pumpkins turned out 'scarily' good.
Nothing like a great party. Thanks for sharing this glimpse!
