In THREES

Groups of threes...

Going to a pumpkin farm is a tradition.

My home.. varied colored Mums in planters..

White pumpkins are so pretty.  They work perfectly inside my home and complement the neutral interior. Cinderella pumpkins and gourds go outside.

These little white pumpkins are darling and  fun to group in  threes.

In threes on old books..

.. in threes on my chair..

My autumn glassybaby display.. in threes with antique roses resting atop Lanvin.

Candles are important here in the pacific northwest.  Today I brought home a new fragrance from Jo Malone. The packaging is so pretty.  Here it sits next to pieces of Astier de Villatte, Paris.

...threes look good here too..

Red roses and a grey pumpkin sitting on the table.

.. and a perky little pumpkin sitting on my hunt board.

How do you feel about witches?
My favorite little witch is seen here.. relaxing against a tapestry pillow.

...  a little black kitty getting some fresh air ..  leaning against a few colorful pumpkins on the doorstep.

Sometimes this witch will fly around.  I think white flatters her, what do you think?  She seems to like the french table and chairs.. perhaps she is a french witch? :)

Most of the time, I watch what I eat but I do splurge every now and then.  Here is a weakness of mine.. fresh farm apples and soft caramel.

Yep.. no problem and I enjoyed every bite!!!

Do you like candy corns?  If you do .. please help yourself  and then you can join me on a walk along the trail near my home.  The leaves are turning and the weather has been perfect.

It's all about balance at this time of year.  Lots of food, family, and fun ahead.  Are you ready for it?

Have a wonderful week!

xx

  7. Hello Leslie-Your photos are always so gorgeous. I am especially drawn to the creamy pumpkins this year. There is nothing like a lovely candle to set the ambiance for a home. I purchased some gorgeous Lafco candles while in NYC last spring. I have not tried the Jo Malone but I'm sure they are a must.
I'm so happy I stumbled across your blog a few weeks ago. It's very inspiring and stylish. I wrote a post on Stylemindchic this week about why we blog and how to keep the motivation going. It's so interesting to hear from other bloggers who are on the same path.
    Hope your weekend is spectacular!

  22. What a fun post, Leslie! I particularly enjoyed the pics of your pretty witches. I am a collector myself, but my favorite is Minerva, the kitchen witch I found at an artist coop in Carcassonne, two years ago. She hangs above my sinks and winks at me every day! (like yours, she is a friendly witch!)

I also loved that black cat. I could swear I saw it chez Molbaks a few days ago...

I loved everything about this post today. You have all my favorites on here. First of all, I LOVE PUMPKIN FARMS! We go to them every year, even now that my kids are all grown. I have seen those glassybabies on my dear friend's blog. They're so pretty. Your witch is delightful. Yes, I like candy corn, but I like the pumpkins more. I can never pass up a caramel apple either. And those red roses!!! There is nothing more beautiful to me than a red rose. What a wonderful Fall and Halloween post. I hope you are enjoying this glorious season.
