Groups of threes...
Going to a pumpkin farm is a tradition.
My home.. varied colored Mums in planters..
White pumpkins are so pretty. They work perfectly inside my home and complement the neutral interior. Cinderella pumpkins and gourds go outside.
.. in threes on my chair..
My autumn glassybaby display.. in threes with antique roses resting atop Lanvin.
Candles are important here in the pacific northwest. Today I brought home a new fragrance from Jo Malone. The packaging is so pretty. Here it sits next to pieces of Astier de Villatte, Paris.
...threes look good here too..
Red roses and a grey pumpkin sitting on the table.
.. and a perky little pumpkin sitting on my hunt board.
How do you feel about witches?
My favorite little witch is seen here.. relaxing against a tapestry pillow.
... a little black kitty getting some fresh air .. leaning against a few colorful pumpkins on the doorstep.
Sometimes this witch will fly around. I think white flatters her, what do you think? She seems to like the french table and chairs.. perhaps she is a french witch? :)
Most of the time, I watch what I eat but I do splurge every now and then. Here is a weakness of mine.. fresh farm apples and soft caramel.
Yep.. no problem and I enjoyed every bite!!!
Do you like candy corns? If you do .. please help yourself and then you can join me on a walk along the trail near my home. The leaves are turning and the weather has been perfect.
It's all about balance at this time of year. Lots of food, family, and fun ahead. Are you ready for it?
Have a wonderful week!

I just sniffed that candle last week, I'm hoping they have a bath oil version of it.
ReplyDeleteI would love to go to a pumpkin farm, that pic is just amazing!
I didn't ask if they have a bath oil version of it. I need to look in to that. It's a nice winter fragrance!

DeleteHello Leslie-Your photos are always so gorgeous. I am especially drawn to the creamy pumpkins this year. There is nothing like a lovely candle to set the ambiance for a home. I purchased some gorgeous Lafco candles while in NYC last spring. I have not tried the Jo Malone but I'm sure they are a must.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy I stumbled across your blog a few weeks ago. It's very inspiring and stylish. I wrote a post on Stylemindchic this week about why we blog and how to keep the motivation going. It's so interesting to hear from other bloggers who are on the same path.
Hope your weekend is spectacular!
Cheers, Heather
Thanks Heather! I too am drawn to the creamy pumpkins :) I'll look in to the Lafco candles.. I'm not familiar with them!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post, Leslie! I particularly enjoyed the pics of your pretty witches. I am a collector myself, but my favorite is Minerva, the kitchen witch I found at an artist coop in Carcassonne, two years ago. She hangs above my sinks and winks at me every day! (like yours, she is a friendly witch!)
ReplyDeleteI also loved that black cat. I could swear I saw it chez Molbaks a few days ago...
Your house (what I can see of it,) looks lovely. Happy fall to you!
Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
Sounds like Molbaks has some cute stuff out? I'll have to get over there :)
DeleteThose pumpkin trios are great Leslie! Halloween isn't too big a deal here in Australia. Some people throw parties but it's definitely not as big as it is in the US. The little white pumpkin are my favorite, they look great against those old books :)

ReplyDeleteLeslie,
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like a visit to the pumpkin "patch" to officially welcome the season. I love the variety of colors available. The little white pumpkins look great grouped on your vintage books. I agree, the little witch looks very stylish so she must be French. :D Jo Malone ANYTHING is a favorite of mine.
Happy fall.
Karen
I agree! Any Jo Malone product is a favorite :)
DeleteI pretty much decorate for fall
ReplyDeleteexclusively with natural things
like pumpkins, gourds, acorns,
nuts and flowers, except for
candles, which are a must: )
My mom says the weather in
SW Washington (where they are)
has been fantastic and SUNNY.

ReplyDeleteHi Leslie,
ReplyDeleteI'm loving those little white pumpkins!!! So, so cute! And, I have a HUGE candy corn fan in our house. My 8 year old son. It's his favorite Halloween candy, so I have to be careful about buying it too early. It will disappear!
We love every season and try to celebrate to the max....so yes, we're ready and willing!
Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteIt's not Autumn without the appearance of some pumpkins. Your decor is so fun and seasonal. 3 in Chinese is a very good number because it sounds like the word for life :)

Oh Leslie,
ReplyDeleteI loved everything about this post today. You have all my favorites on here. First of all, I LOVE PUMPKIN FARMS! We go to them every year, even now that my kids are all grown. I have seen those glassybabies on my dear friend's blog. They're so pretty. Your witch is delightful. Yes, I like candy corn, but I like the pumpkins more. I can never pass up a caramel apple either. And those red roses!!! There is nothing more beautiful to me than a red rose. What a wonderful Fall and Halloween post. I hope you are enjoying this glorious season.
~Sheri at Red Rose Alley
It is just great to have seasonal weather, even though we justs got snow in Calgary! Leslie, you have some great pumpkin collection there, beautiful witch too! She must be from the Witch French Vogue world...so stylish. My 3 Czech imported witches are not this attractive but I love witches, we have them in so many kids stories too (: even when we don't celebrate Halloween ... in Czech. WE do in Calgary of course...
ReplyDeleteBut I don't even know what Candy Corn is and I never had the apple with caramel...loving soft caramel/ fudge on my vanila icecream though(: You are healthier, the apple makes it OK!!
