Dinner in Paris

There are so many wonderful restaurants in Paris it's difficult to pick favorites.
Number one would have to be FRENCHIE.   Rustic charm, excellent menu, located off the beaten path, this restaurant seemed to represent all that a Paris restaurant should be.

Above is a picture of the wine bar. Perfect ambiance .. a little rustic, small and very cozy.

Below, honey to the side and those French cheeses.. nothing like it.

I wasn't going to share this .. but these guys were so amazing I had to add this photo. Standing next to me was the manager who was an expert on pairing food and wine.  We trusted his recommendations on each course and he didn't disappoint.  We devoured everything and the wine was amazing. Attention to detail.. the chef (on the right) was so much fun to watch as he prepared and plated each course.

Difficult to leave.. but we will be back!

CAFE DE FLORE is perfect for a glass of wine or beer, lunch and people watching.

HOTEL COSTES, gorgeous interior with an indoor courtyard.  A flower shop and french pperfume boutique is located on the premises.

.. and now for a bit of dessert..

Just kidding .. Ha!  This is really what I had.

Mmm! The lemon was my favorite!

Seriously?  YES, I had to.. No willpower.

Regarding my luggage, it finally arrived 5 .. yes! that's FIVE days after our return.  All pertinent info was attached so it's a wonder how it took a wrong turn.  When flying internationally, always a good idea to attach extra I.D. outside and IN your bag.

Hope you are enjoying your summer holiday! Have a nice week.

  23. Hi Leslie,
Welcome home...luggage and all. Can't believe it took so long to find you!

This took me down memory lane as my boys' favorite place in all of Paris is Cafe de Flore. We stayed near there so had many a breakfast there. Hotel Costes brings back good memories as well. A dinner that lasted into the evening...to the "bar"....so. much. fun! I'll put Frenchie's on my list for next time, since that seemed to be a true highlight for you.

Hope you're enjoying a truly wonderful week!
    xoxo Elizabeth

  35. Bless your heart! So glad your luggage arrived safely, tho! That happened to my daughter the first time we took our kids to New York and all of her new Christmas gifts were inside! I felt so sorry for her!!! Luckily, it arrived at our hotel 2 days later but it still put a damper on the trip! Anyway, this is way too fun to see all of these fun places in Paris! I am wracking my brain to think of our favorite restaraunt that we went to while we were actually in Paris! It was all stone and for some reason I want to say that was also part of it's name! I do know that we stayed at the Lancaster Hotel and it was to die for! In a suite mind you! I can't wait to return! I feel like I know so much more about it all now! Maybe one day I will do a post on our first adventure in France shopping for my shop! That would be fun! Thanks for sharing this great post!

  36. So glad you had such an amazing time. Frenchie looks perfect! Sorry there was a glitch w/ the luggage. That stinks...hate that. Yes, we can't get to Paris often so not sampling the desserts would just be foolish. To hell with the waistline! xo

  37. I am glad you find your luggage! All your treasure from Paris to be lost, that would be "dommage" :))) as the French say it! I am drawling near these photos of yours, I am a big fan of sweets and in Spain, where I spend my holiday they don't really have special sweets :( only ice cream!

Also, congrats on getting your luggage returned. On our recent trip to the Dominican one of my cousins lost her bag and it still has not been located. She has been back in the US for a week. Hope it turns up!
