About my peonies... (one of my favorite flowers) that I simply CANNOT get to grow well. I've tried everything with no success, so I frequently end up buying them.
The flower that keeps on giving. As the petals drop, its fragrance is sweet and the flower retains its unique beauty.
Spring and summer produce!
To stay healthy I eat and exercise in moderation and avoid extreme diets or exercise plans. It's fun on the weekends to enjoy some of the things that maybe aren't on the breakfast menu during the week.
The best cinnamon rolls are always homeade, however these are a definate runner-up. Made with simple ingredients with no articial flavor or color added.
This morning I'm making French Press coffee with a delicous organic coffee from the
Camano Island Coffee Company.
History of coffee
Camano Island Coffee Company.
History of coffee
This is a local company that makes wonderful coffee. I try to support our local farms and business when possible. To make french press coffee, the grounds should be course. The measurements I use are 1 Tablespoon per 6 oz of filtered water.
Boil water and add slowly to your coffee grounds.
Allow to sit for about 5 minutes.
Frost the cinnamon rolls while they're hot out of the oven. How wonderful to wake up to the smell of these cooking in the oven!!
Now let's get you a cup of coffee!
Savoring each bite

I adore peonies :)) They are one of my favourites flowers..the first being lilies :) I just love them. Lilacs are wonderful too, they remind me of childhood as there were lilac trees growing around our house, so when the wind blew the fragrance would fill the house, it was lovely. I quite enjoy cinnamon rolls, they look yummy ) Hope you have a super new week! xxx
ReplyDeleteOur peonies and lilacs have yet to show themselves but soon. My Peonies will do the same thing if they get wet and then the sun comes out and dries them. I can't wait for all of my flowers to bloom. II would love to have another espresso if I may please.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day!

Good afternoon dear Leslie! How are you?? I can see you are happy and healthy! Moderation is the key, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteOh your probably have trouble with your peonies because of too much rain? I wonder....our neighbor has the most GORGEOUS peonies but we are here in Minnesota where we have a lot of clay that retains water. Hmmmmm....too bad because these flowers are so magnificent!
Thank you so much for coming to visit today! Enjoy your Memorial holiday weekend! Au revoir, Anita

ReplyDeleteLeslie, We must be kindred spirits. Peonies are my all time fave flower. My moms too. We don't get them in Florida. Once in a while Whole Foods will get them in. I was at my moms yesterday and she had a vase full. She let me take 1 home. I will have to get over to WF and get some of my own. And those oh so yummy Immaculate Buns...I just made them yesterday morn with a bowl of strawberries!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the day!! xoxo

Your flowers are so perfect. I love lilacs and peonies very much too but they are not easy to find around here : ( The cinnamon rolls look yummi, I enjoyed this and above post's picture stories very much. I agree with you on "giving more", the problem is some people are on only receiving mode and don't really appreciate when they are given something : ( Thanks for your sweet words : )
