Natural, a little worn, rustic, comfy, imperfections, the attention to detail, the appreciation for something that's aged is intoxicating to me.
Interior Designer Kimberley Fraser captures the elegance of original and unique antiques in her boutique; A Beautiful Mess.
These items are not massed produced, and you won't find them at a nearby department store. Kimberley has carefully selected pieces that reflect her attention to detail, and appreciation for aged and timeless beauty.
Gorgeous linens here! Check out the collection of 16th, 17th Century Vellum books and the 19th Century oil paintings!
Fell in love with these botanical prints! Imagine a set of three on your wall! Look at that wonderful print of the horse. I just love it. Growing up, I learned how to ride and miss it so. There is something wonderful about a young girl and her handsome horse.
Lots of attention to detail here. Lovely chair!
So many little treasures..
Very pretty dome, glass bottles, and mason jars!
I thought these were so much fun!
These succulents are everywhere in Southern CA. They require little care and work well in an area where water conservation is important.
Back home... Here are a view pieces I purchased - in front of a mirror I have from the Paris countryside {the perfect patina}.
I found an oval botanical to put right here... with a standing basket of white Begonia and Alyssum {love the honey scent!} I just put them in today - hope they like this spot and start to grow!
Turns out Kimberley and I grew up in the same neighborhood, and even attended the same elementary and high school! Such a small world! Our paths never crossed because I am
I'll be back soon Kimberley and can't wait to stop by!

So much yumminess,
ReplyDeleteLeslie, and you are right,
those one of a kind pieces
filled with "experiences'
are what bring a home
its personality. I love
the barn door! I wish
there was a place in my
current home for one,
but alas, it will have to
wait until I move into
our dream home in the
Pac NW, someday!

me, I was in the same boat

Her store could spell serious danger for my wallet. There wasn't one item you highlighted that I didn't swoon over, (wiping drool as we speak). If I had the money I would want to own a store like hers. Gorgeous. We all get a wee bit camera shy but she is lovely! It was nice to see her smiling face. xo
